Get involved with Coventry’s Bid for UK City of Culture 2021

Coventry’s bid to be the UK City of Culture 2021 is the topic for debate at our Quarterly Breakfast on Tuesday 21 March.

Winning City of Culture 2021 will transform our city forever. The young people in our schools right now will grow up in a city with more job prospects, a thriving programme of events, more places to eat, shop and visit with a bustling city centre. It’s a lot more than a year of cultural celebration; it’s about changing the reputation of a city.

To win, the bid needs support from the whole Coventry community. Michael Mogan, the Fundraising Director of the bid, is the keynote speaker at our March Quarterly Breakfast.  He will explain how local businesses can get involved.

The initial bids will be submitted in spring 2017. Four shortlisted cities will go forward to a final round, with the winner announced at the end of the year. The winning city will then spend the following years preparing to host one of the largest events in the UK calendar as the world watches.
