The Midland Air Museum is one of the UK’s leading self-funded independent aviation museums. A charitable trust, the Museum tells the story of aviation in the Midlands and Coventry area in particular, but also the story of Sir Frank Whittle and development of the jet engine. It houses a wide range of exhibits featuring several aircraft including a MiG-21, Sea Harrier ‘jump jet’ and Vulcan bomber.
In addition to a tour of the Museum we will hear from Barry James, Chairman of the Trustees. Barry will share with us the Museum’s history from its beginnings in 1967 through to achieving National Accreditation and its future planned developments.
Please note that additional expenses involved in this First Friday mean the charge is £12 per person.
