First Friday networking lunch at Charterhouse

We are delighted to be able to rearrange our postponed visit to Charterhouse and have a look around this special building for our November First Friday networking lunch.

The restoration is being mainly funded by c£5M from the National Lottery Heritage Fund with generous support from many other partners.  We will hear from Hannah Jones, General Manager of Charterhouse who will bring us up to date on progress with the restoration and plans for the re-opening as we enjoy a look around parts of Charterhouse and its grounds.

Following our tour we will walk across the new pedestrian crossing for lunch at the Anglican Chapel at the London Road Cemetery. This will also give guests a sense of the old disused railway line or ‘loop line’ that runs through the Heritage Park which is due to be transformed as a cycle and pedestrian walkway.

This preview is a timely follow up to our last visit to Charterhouse in 2018 which was one of the last before the buildings closed for the restoration works.
